Further information on the book of hope

Over the last few months we have  been working on a very exciting project! Below is a little more detail about 'The Book' and those taking photographs for it:

The submission stage of the book is now closed. We will post more details about the release of our Book of Hope over the next few weeks. Thank you to everyone who sent in a photo, we really appreciate you being a part of this special book.

Aim: To provide inspiration and hope to all through photography and help raise awareness about brain tumours across the globe.


booksThe Project: Create a 'coffee table book' with images from DPChallenge photographers around the world. The book will be dedicated to Andi's daughter, Rose.

Photographers taking part can choose a quote from either our website quotes page or their own source. Ideally the quote will be one that inspires hope.

The photographer will then have until May 1st 2009 to provide one (or more?) images to be used by us, RoseBuddies, for publication in the 'book' and any related promotional items.

Note: At the present time the only 'rule' is that there is to be no nudity in your image.

Title Suggestions: At the present time we do not have a title for the book so we are looking for suggestions! Contact Us with your ideas and you could win a years membership to www.dpchallenge.com.


RoseBuddies Logo

Graphic Designer: The book will be designed by Luana D'Elias. Luana created the RoseBuddies logo and we are confident she will do an excellent job with the book!


Publish Date: The Book will be available to purchase from Sunday 1st November 2009 to coincide with the International Brain Tumour Awareness Week


Cost: At the present time we are unsure of the exact cost of each book. If we are able to secure a good deal with a printer we hope to keep the cost to a minimum with all 'profit' being donated to Rose's Tribute Fund.


Quotes and more: We have created a page on our website with inspirational quotes, brain tumour facts and articles from brain tumour patients, their families and caregivers, for those taking part in this project.
