Chris Bradley

12th January 1980 - 25th April 2010

Father, son, boyfriend, brother, nephew, friend, gamer, tweet buddy...

"I had a fairly normal life. My girlfriend and I had just celebrated the birth of our first child - Lucas Jay. From me, who was so anti kids having one of my own turned out to be the best thing that could ever of happened to me."

I couldn't imagine my life without him now, it is as though something been missing or I was searching for something and I did not know what till he arrived.

Then 3 weeks ago (09/10/09)...my life got turned upside down..."

Diagnosed with an inoperable brainstem Glioblastoma Multiforme (a grade 4 brain tumour), Chris began sharing the ups and downs of his journey through his blog and twitter page. People from around the world began following his story and were inspired by his strength, courage and openness throughout his battle.

Never one to dwell too much on the 'bad' stuff, Chris entertained us all in both his blog and tweets and made his voice heard when it came to raising awareness of brain tumours.

Sadly, Chris lost his very courageous battle late on Sunday 25th April 2010.

In one of his blog posts Chris posted the following Tupac lyrics...

'In the event of my Demise
when my heart can beat no more
I Hope I Die For A Principle
or A Belief that I had Lived 4
I will die Before My Time
Because I feel the shadow's Depth
so much I wanted 2 accomplish
before I reached my Death
I have come 2 grips with the possibility
and wiped the last tear from My eyes
I Loved All who were Positive
In the event of my Demise'

Chris, we will continue to 'fight the good fight' for you in the hopes that one day there will be a cure for this terrible disease, and so those battling a brain tumour today know that there is support and information here for them any time they need it.

Chris, though your life was far too short, you will be remembered by so many, some who only knew you through the worldwide web.

And to Chris's mother, Carole, partner Christine, son Lucas, brother Jay and Sister Catherine, our thoughts and prayers continue to be with you all.
